Huia offers a stylistic variation to more traditional textura blackletter form. The curved and at times not-so-delicate features of each character promote an exchange when set together, offering a sense of dialogue annotated by a founding premise of reconciliation.
Many purists would scoff at this typeface—and I don't blame them. There's a lot here I myself wish to change. The truth though, is that this type was not designed for any specific output. It was designed during a time of grieving, and therefore I have not since revisited it. You can read more about this process in the case studies section above.
